This custom built system was installed by Mr. WaterTM Professional Water Treatment to treat high turbidity (very fine sediment), ferrous and ferric iron (clear and red water iron), hard water (calcium and magnesium), and troublesome bacteria (fecal and plant coliform). The picture on the right is a close-up of the 12gpm Sterilight ultraviolet light with stainless steel reactor chamber, electronic ICE ballast with LED readout, and heavy duty 30 micron filter housing with wrench. This system is professionally installed in the basement of a beautiful 105 year old historic home in Hancock, MD 21750.

These are photos of a 1 ½ year old Culligan Medalist water softener that, according to the customer, had trouble delivering consistent soft water from the day it was new. The local dealer that sold it to them was not able to fix it – so they got tired of the run around and gave Mr. Water a call. We have replaced several of these problematic systems because of circuit board malfunctions that cause the softener to be nothing more than a source of frustration for the service technician and the homeowner. |

The picture to the right is the Autotrol Performa 268/460i with the cover off - showing the high quality and simplicity of this heavy duty residential/light commercial valve. This picture shows the clear difference between the much higher quality of our standard EcoSoft® 32,000 grain (one cubic foot of resin) electronic demand water softener - and the smaller system we just replaced. Not only is the system much more reliable and easier to maintain, for about the same price as just a comparable water softener from one of our competitors, you get a 1” Big Blue 30 micron prefilter for grit and sediment and a 1” Big Blue GAC (carbon) postfilter for taste and odor. Contrary to what some people are told, water softeners are NOT filters and are prone to premature difficulties if installed on a well (esp. one with allot of turbidity) without a good full flow prefilter to catch debris before it enters the unit. The GAC (carbon) postfilter is like pouring all of the water that comes into your home though a Britta® type filter – that’s right – all of it except for the hard water bypass (if necessary) that we plumb to the outside hose bibs. Installed in Sharpsburg, MD 21782 for a very pleased customer who wishes they called us first. |

High amounts of clear water (ferrous) iron are present in wells throughout much of Central Maryland, but Anne Arundel County and some of the surrounding areas also have high amounts of radium 226/228 in the groundwater. Mr. Water Professional Water Treatment can build you a system to remove this potentially cancerous ion (known to cause bone cancer) from your water supply using the cation exchange water softening process. We custom built this heavy duty 64,000 grain water softener with a Big Blue 30 micron prefilter and Big Blue GAC (granular activated carbon) postfilter to treat both of these problem water conditions. This system is twice the size of a standard water softener. Installed for a customer who found us on Google in Davidsonville, MD 21035. |
MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) is a potentially cancerous oxygenating chemical that was used to raise the octane level in gasoline to prevent your car from “knocking” starting in 1979. Although is use is declining, old buried gas station storage tanks are now mostly to blame for contaminating the groundwater in the State of Maryland. This customer came to us about their acid water problem and reports of MTBE contamination in the area. We recommended our standard EcoSoft® 2.5 cubic foot acid neutralizer with whole house Big Blue GAC (carbon) postfilter to remove MTBE and other organics. The postfilter can easily be changed by the homeowner with store bought carbon filters purchased from Lowe’s, The Home Depot, or various other plumbing suppliers making this versatile system a great choice for both of these well water problems. This customer has water that is now safe to drink - and doesn’t eat their copper pipes or faucets. Installed in Monrovia, MD 21770. |

This system is tackling some of the worst water we have ever seen. This customer called because when he used his irrigation system, the 28ppm of clear water (ferrous) iron turned his entire yard of green grass a shade of brown. It was staining his sidewalks and the side of his house. Obviously, he was having staining problems inside the house as well. The system he was renting from a local competitor just wasn’t up to the job – so he looked on Google for some help. We custom designed this heavy duty EcoSoft® 2.5 cubic foot acid neutralizer with special iron removal media, built him an EcoSoft® 64,000 grain fine mesh resin time clock model water softener for more iron removal, and installed a GAC (carbon) post filter for a slight sulfur smell. These reliable water systems have the capacity to remove all the iron for the house and irrigation system for many years to come. Built and expertly installed for a very happy customer in Annapolis, MD 21403. |
We were called by this customer after they found us on the internet. Acid water was eating away their copper pipes and causing water heater problems. Because the ph was 5.6 and they have such a large house, we recommended our light commercial EcoSoft® 4.0 cubic foot automatic acid neutralizer with GAC (carbon) postfilter. We used an extra strong mix of calcium carbonate (calcite) and magnesium oxide to correct the problem. This house has no more blue-green stains on plumbing fixtures, and the new system also protects their two 80 gallon water heaters. Expertly installed in Brookeville, MD 20833. |
